When I do interviews with young creative entrepreneurs, I am always super pumped.
If I haven’t said it to you guys, YOU GUYS ROCK! You make my soul soar and I definitely will give any support I can, to assist with your business.
Kyle, Digital Inception Studios, started at twenty two, using his passion project and turning it into profits….
Why do I say brave? Because it is virtually unheard of in Trinidad and Tobago to leave your 9-5 at such a young age to pursue your dream, these individuals are chastised and made to feel like it is the worst decision.
But Kyle did not care, he did not yield to the pressures of the nay-sayers, he left that job that was not feeding his spirit to go to his one true love of photography……
The status quo should be getting very agitated now and I hope one day it would be non -existent. I hope that everyone will get to do whatever they want, without fear and ridicule!
So let’s read what he has to say ok….
Can you please introduce yourself and tell us what you do?
My name is Kyle Archibald & I’m the managing director & Head Photographer at Digital Inception Studios. I photograph weddings mostly, but cover everything from seminars to baby showers.
Why did you decide to get into business?
I didn’t realize how much I actually loved wedding photography until I assisted as a second shooter at one a couple years ago. Photography as a whole has been a passion of mine for years so I came to the decision to make it a business.
What is one secret of the trade that you are in that you will like to share with our readers?
Love what you do genuinely. The passion for what you do will show through your work. ( Awesome sauce)
What is the best advice you would give to a young entrepreneur, who wants to get into business?
Arm yourself spiritually & mentally, because going into business for you is like walking into an open battlefield.
How do you balance your entrepreneur life and social life?
What is this….social life you speak of? (lol) ( These entrepreneurs need a life folks, somebody take Kyle out…. …. good grief, don’t worry I going out soon, don’t study me, study Kyle).
Where do you see yourself in five years? Re : Business
Financially stable, traveling with my wife shooting some destination weddings. ( Papa….. Yes….. I can’t wait to see these pictures, so again I’m holding you to it , ok Sir Kyle)
Name three things that your business has taught you.
- Ask for help or guidance when needed, because you’re eventually going to need it whether you like it or not.
- Step out of your comfort zone, if you’re too comfortable then you aren’t growing. ( Like age is DEFINITELY just a number, because this right here some GROWN FOLKS don’t understand, LOVES IT).
- It’s perfectly ok to say no. If your instinct tells you something is off, trust it.
Can you tell us one fun fact about you?
I have this great fear of open water, but I love jet skiing whenever I actually get chance to. ( I not too sure about this one )
What keeps you motivated, on the rough days, how do you keep pressing on?
God, the results of what I love doing & my family.
What is the top mistake you have made in your business?
Underestimating the amount of work it’d take. Not complaining though, because I love it. ( You know this is mines too, A BLOG IS WORK!!!!, Blog post on Blogging? Hmmmmmmm)
What is your greatest achievement thus far?
I’d have to say the reactions I get from couples (brides mostly) when I deliver their wedding photos. It’s so rewarding to know that they trusted my team to capture their special day for them.
How can some-one get in contact with you re: your services?

That’s all folks…..
Let’s get our life together…… Ok…. At just twenty two years old he found his passion and now five years later he is SOARING!
