So, a couple weeks ago I did a Facebook live stream about how you can connect with your audience and turn your likes into paying customers. The way that you can do that is by having THREE things in your post.
The first thing would be a promotion. You can do this many ways. Offer a discount of 5% or 10% off their next purchase if they like the page or if they like and share the page offer a free gift with their next purchase. Now, you are probably saying, “but I offer a service, how does that work or me?” If your business is service based, you can offer a free consultation or 10% off your one on one consultation. If you have packages you can offer a % off one of them. This goes for both Facebook and Instagram. For Instagram invite them to follow your page and have your followers invite others to follow to get a freebie or a discount card.

The second thing is you need to be active. Being active on social media means that you are going to be posting everyday and you are going to be watching your metrics to see when is the best time to post. Morning and afternoon are great for Facebook and Instagram. If it’s just one platform then the more you post the better. Now I am not saying to post four to five times per day everyday to swamp your fans/followers especially on Facebook, but at least twice per day will be fantastic. When posting always remember the 80/20 rule where 80% of your posts will be sharing some type of value and 20% will be asking for the sale. So we are not going to have an all “salesy” page where everything being posted is about you and your products and you promoting yourself. We want you to share valuable content that people can resonate with, even if it’s something funny, a meme, or a just a joke to lighten up the day. Let’s make sure its shareable content and not only about you and your business
Always remember to check your metrics when posting, its easy to forget to go to your Insights on FaceBook and also using apps/websites like Command, IconoSquare and Meter IO for Instagram Analytics.
And last but definitely not least, have engaging posts. It is Carnival time here in Trinidad so you can ask “what are some of the fetes you are going to” especially if you are a clothing boutique or offer products or services that are targeted at the Carnival audience. Use titles of Carnival songs for your posts or just use the hashtag. You can have another post asking what are their must haves for Carnival. These are engaging posts and would you build a relationship with your audience. The more that they are talking and listening and interacting is the more you will get buy-in and build that trust factor which will turn those likes into sales.
I really hope this was helpful.and you get the traction you want from your posts! Till we meet again!
